There was many movies opening on christmas day.. I got to make a decision, the moment i saw the bedtime stories poster with Adam Sandler in it... I knew i need to watch this movie.. because he is one of my favourite comedian in hollywood...
The movie is about a guy named Skeeter( Adam Sandler), who work at Nottingham Hotel for many years as a Handyman. Through out the years he has been working so hard and the management named Barry Nottingham (Richard Griffiths) didn't appreciated Skeeter's working skills. And Barry wanted to pass the management position to his future son-in-law named Kendall(Guy Pearce). So Skeeter was dissapointed.
Skeeter had to a favour to babysit his sister, Wendy(Courteney Cox), 2 children both Bobbi and Patrick while she needs to be away for job interview for a week. All he needs to do is just to put them to bed and read them a bedtime story, thats all. During the day, Wendy's friend, Jill(Keri Russell), will take care of them.
While Skeeter telling them a bedtime story, both Bobbi and Patrick add some spice to the story to make it a nice story. The next day,Skeeter realised that a miracle just happened, the story comes to life. It's like a wish come true. Whatever he said in the bedtime story, it come to life. Later he found out he needs the children help.
I got to stop here before i ruined it. The bedtime story was creative, from knights tale to red indians and cowboys to Romans Era and Starwars.
My favourite line is " You better say this if you want me to help you, Skeeter is the coolest, I'm a nerd" and " I see london, i see france, I can see my golden underpants"
Favorite scene is got to be when Skeeter Best Buddy, Mickey(Russell Brand), translate for Skeeter. When Skeeter tongue was stung by a bee while he was eating an ice-cream. With his tongue swollen, it's very hard for him to do a speech. Luckily Mickey can understand and translate it.
And I would like to wish to all of you,"HAPPY NEW YEAR".. hope 2009 will bring joy to us.. peace...
