The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

Firstly, I like to watched movies that are a based on true events. Before this movie was made, i heard a story about a guy who getting younger intead of getting older. It's hard for me to believe it. So i was curious enough to watch this movie.

Bejamin Button(Brad Pitt) was born as baby and the ugliest baby ever. He had a baby body who have a 80 year old man feature. He was a abandoned by his parents at the old folks home staircase intead of children home.

As he was growing up or should i say getting younger, he was introduce to a little girl, Daisy(Cate Blanchatt). They became best friend.

Benjamin life was normal accept for the aging. He left the house because he wanted to a fisherman and went to "war". After all the chaos, he came to the house and went out to look for Daisy, who works as a dancer. When Benjamin looks for her he is has the same feature as Daisy, he has the MAN features. Then they felt in love and got married.

And i should stop.

Favourite part: When he was left abandoned, a old lady said " he looks exactly like my ex-husband. And a man asked him " how old are you". He answered " im seven but i looks much older".

It great movie to watch. Its a touching movie and my friend was crying towards the end of the movie. Well, you shold watch it or else it's a waste.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

This is the sequel to the previous 2 movies. But this one is the beginning sequel. Shows how the Lycans was a slave to the Vampire. Lycans is a another name for Werewolve. Lucian is the most powerful lycans. He is the leader of the pack. He was a slave to the vampire since he was a boy and become a blacksmith for them.

As time goes by he started to plan his way out and plans to kill the Vampire. He even start to fall in love with Sonja, who is the daughter to the Vampire leader, Victor. Lucian managed to escape the castle with a little helps from her. Soon Victor found about the relationship of Sonja and Lucian. So all hell brake lose between Victor and Lucian. Victor threaten to kill Sonja if Lucian did not return. Soon Lucian came back with a revenge in his mind. But he was recaptured and at same time Sonja tell his father that she is pregnant. Victor become angry and kill her by putting her under the sun while Lucian was chained in front of her and he can't do anything.

And.... i stop here.

My favourite part is when Lucian change to Lycan and become angry to the Vampire. Lots of violence in it.

My favourite line, is when Lucian was capture and give a motivation speech to his fellows Lycans. "I have been follow their rules my entire life. I protected them, Envy them, and for what, they threaten me like an animal. We are not animal, is this what you want? We can be slave or we can be LYCANS".

Inkheart

This movie is similar to bedtime story but instead of waiting for the next day, the story happen the moment you read the book. Mortimer Flochart( Brendan Fraser) have a silver tongue, the moment he read a story book and say the word out loud, it come to live. And his daughter has it too. Meggie(Eliza Hope Bennett)and Mo share common interest, reading story books. Well there's a twist to the story, if they bring the character from the book to live, a real person would disappear to the pages.

Mo search for a book name Inkheart, and wanted to Bring mum back, Resa(Sienna Guillory) who had been trap in the book for a long time. A Capricorn(Andy Serkis) came to live and kidnapp Meggie.

I should stop here before i ruin it. The story full of magical events and Adventure. Brendan Fraser had acted out many movies. Such as Mummy trilogy, George of the jungle, Journey to the centre of the earth and many more. This is the sensitive side character from Brendan Fraser.

I did not watch any movie yet. But this posting is about my favourite movies in 2008 and most anticipating movies in 2009.

Well 2008 was awesome year. Lots of incredible and entertaining movies . This posting is about my favourite movies based on my point of view and movies that worth to watch in 2008. Not according to ranking.

Bedtime Stories

There was many movies opening on christmas day.. I got to make a decision, the moment i saw the bedtime stories poster with Adam Sandler in it... I knew i need to watch this movie.. because he is one of my favourite comedian in hollywood...

The movie is about a guy named Skeeter( Adam Sandler), who work at Nottingham Hotel for many years as a Handyman. Through out the years he has been working so hard and the management named Barry Nottingham (Richard Griffiths) didn't appreciated Skeeter's working skills. And Barry wanted to pass the management position to his future son-in-law named Kendall(Guy Pearce). So Skeeter was dissapointed.

Skeeter had to a favour to babysit his sister, Wendy(Courteney Cox), 2 children both Bobbi and Patrick while she needs to be away for job interview for a week. All he needs to do is just to put them to bed and read them a bedtime story, thats all. During the day, Wendy's friend, Jill(Keri Russell), will take care of them.

While Skeeter telling them a bedtime story, both Bobbi and Patrick add some spice to the story to make it a nice story. The next day,Skeeter realised that a miracle just happened, the story comes to life. It's like a wish come true. Whatever he said in the bedtime story, it come to life. Later he found out he needs the children help.

I got to stop here before i ruined it. The bedtime story was creative, from knights tale to red indians and cowboys to Romans Era and Starwars.

My favourite line is " You better say this if you want me to help you, Skeeter is the coolest, I'm a nerd" and " I see london, i see france, I can see my golden underpants"

Favorite scene is got to be when Skeeter Best Buddy, Mickey(Russell Brand), translate for Skeeter. When Skeeter tongue was stung by a bee while he was eating an ice-cream. With his tongue swollen, it's very hard for him to do a speech. Luckily Mickey can understand and translate it.

Twilight

First of all i wanted to know why do most of the girls goes goo-goo gaa-gaa about this movie. Then later i found why.. It because of the good looking guys epecially the guy who played the Vampire is Edward Cullen(Robert Pattinson).

This movie has a mix of buffy the vampire slayer and titanic. The girl, Bella Swan(Kristen Stewart) was a new student in the phoenix high school when she move back in with her father after 14 years. Her mother got remarried and busy with her new husband baseball career.

On Bella first day of school she notice a boy who has very fair skin tone and wanted to know him. After a few days Edward introduce himself to Bella. She started to have strange dream about Edward becoming a Vampire. And was saved by Edward during an accident. She started to find out more information about Vampire.

Instead of killing him, she falls deeply in love with Edward. Edward is not the kind of Vampire which only appeared at night, he also can appeared during sunlight too. He does not have fangs, does not drink human blood.

Its not a war between Vampire and Human. It between Vampire and Vampire. And Bella got involve.

The rest of the story you got to watch it.

My favorite line about the movie is... "My family never eat any meal and my family claims to be vegetarian, but we do drink only animal blood".

Favorite Scene is.. when he bring Bella up the hill with tremendous pace and jumps very high.

Guys, if you want to watch a movies with a lady. This movie will be the perfect one to watch.

Body of Lies

Well, this story, I don't recommend as a date movie. The action is less as there were more conversation. But I do find it as an interesting movie. And yet, some of my friends find it boring because of the conversations.

You must be asking me why I find the movie interesting. In my opinion, the movie reminds me of Munich which is similar as its more to documentary and betrayal played apart. It is about U.S intelligence sending their best agent on the ground which was Roger Ferris ( Leonardo Dicaprio ) to the middle eastern country to find out about the whereabouts of the terrorists & more information about the next threat.

He had alliance with Ed Hoffman ( Russell Crowe ) who gave him orders. Did he died in this movie like the movie, Blood Diamond? Well, it's for me to know and for you to find out. All I can say is that he injured 2 fingers when he was captured by the terrorist.

My favourite scene was the gun firing in the middle of the dessert and the helicopter came & started to fire. Leonardo had come a long way. He impressed me alot because from the boyish look in Titanic, aviator, impressive acting in Blood Diamond and now, Body of Lies.

He even learnt to speak arabic and the best part was when he greeted Assalamualaikum ( peace be upon you ) to a nurse named Aisyah (Golshifteh Farahani) and she replied waalaikumusalam ( peace be upon you too ).

These are some of my favourite lines during the scene : "If any of you take them as allies, then surely he is one of them " and " I got only one rule, never lie to me".

This movie took place in Oman, Iraq and Baghdad. All I can say about this movie, Body of Lies, is that, it is a good movie to watch if you're interested in terrorists documentry.
